| This year 20th Century Productions will once
again hold its 20th Century Antiques Show & Sale to complement their annual symposium.
This show will take place at the Design Exchange and will feature 28 of Canada's best
dealers of 20th century modernism and objets d'art. It's hard
to imagine a more exciting venue for Toronto's second and only 20th Century Show. The
Design Exchange is the old Toronto Stock Exchange Building at 234 Bay Street. The original
spectacular 1937 streamlined Moderne facade, interior and fittings have been amazingly
preserved inside the new Dominion Centre complex.
The doors, the stairway to the hall and the room itself are breathtaking
examples of the best of deco. The trading floor is full of light with a very high ceiling
and its dominated by immense painted murals by Canadian artist Charles Comfort.
This is a much anticipated event by media, public and dealers alike. We
look forward to having yet another successful event.
